The 510th Fighter Squadron's mascot, "Buzz", was safely returned to his perch in BUZZARD Loop early Thursday morning after a feather-raising night. The infamous mascot was swiped by ruthless thugs from another squadron, who shall remain nameless (from the Operations Group, not the 555th, or 603rd), during the Airman Leadership School graduation Wednesday night at Sabre Hall.

Cunning diversionary tactics were employed by the renegade squadron (rhymes with No, Yes, Yes) to gain possession of "Buzz." While the situation looked bleak at first, the BUZZARDS, led by the First Shirt, mounted a successful recon mission under the cover of night, and recaptured "BUZZ" in the parking lot shortly after the graduation ceremony. "We spotted his moonlit beak in the back seat of the get-away vehicle and quickly moved in," said the First Shirt, "it was good to get 'BUZZ' back." While his feathers were a little ruffled, "BUZZ" was in great spirits Thursday morning. When asked to comment on the ordeal, he grinned and replied, "Better luck next time, chumps!" Without a doubt, "BUZZ" is back!!
