Minutes of the Annual Business Meeting
Radisson San Antonio Downtown Market Square
San Antonio, Texas
September 19, 2009

Acting President Jim Colegrove presided over the annual business meeting. The meeting came to order at 9:17 a.m. There were 19 members present.

Acting Chaplain Al Alvizo gave the invocation.

Jim Colegrove opened the business meeting with a few welcoming comments. A letter from President Hal Bingham, which expressed his regrets for his absence, was read by Charlie Mohrle.

The Treasurer’s Report was presented by Treasurer Stephen Tanner. The report of financial review, read by Stephen was prepared by Executive Vice President Nicholas Vogel who reviewed the financial transactions of the previous year. After discussion the Treasurer’s Report was approved as presented.

Treasurer Stephen Tanner requested approval to establish a second Association checking account to be used for reunion activity. He requested that the account be issued check cards to facilitate paying for reunion related expenses only. After a motion, a second, and discussion, the request was approved.

Chairman for Membership Stephen Tanner requested that someone else take over the position. Charlie Mohrle II accepted the position.

The following slate of officers was nominated, seconded and elected by acclamation:

Past President Harold Bingaman

Newly elected President David “Face” Nichols addressed the group with his plans for the Association. He said he is committed to promoting the outstandinglegacy and history of the squadrons. He wants to increase reunion attendance and hopes to have 200 present at our 2010 reunion. He also expressed an interest having a mini-reunion with the Aviano 510th Squadron when they return to the states for training and Operation Red Flag.

Reunion Planner Guy Wright offered Warren County Ohio as his recommendation for 2010 reunion. Other possibilities were Travers City, Michigan and Washington D.C. After some discussion, Washington D.C. was approved.

There being no further business, Jim Colegrove called for the meeting to adjourn.

Respectfully submitted:
