However, production difficulties caused the British Air Ministry to be informed in September 1941 that it was not a good idea to do this until all the bugs had been wrung out of the design.

BOSNIA: F-16 Pilot Rescued

BOSNIA: F-16 PILOT RESCUED: Captain Scott O'Grady F-16 pilot shot down by the Bosnian Serbs on 2.6.95, was rescued, after six days living rough and in hiding. Early this morning another F-16 picked up his SOS signal from the ground, and at dawn two helicopters, accompanied by jets, were dispatched to Bosnia to rescue him, coming under fire as they did so.
